Ingredients:

  • 12 Shrimp Society shrimp balls

  • 2 servings cooked rice

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger

  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1 tsp chili flakes

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 8 tbsp fresh orange juice

  • 2 tbsp vinegar (rice vinegar works great)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp water mixed with cornstarch (for thickening)

Preparation:

  1. Cook the Shrimp Balls:Prepare your Shrimp Society shrimp balls according to the package instructions — grill, pan-fry, or bake until cooked through and golden.

  2. Make the Orange Sauce:In a pan, heat a splash of cooking oil over medium heat. Add chopped ginger, garlic, and chili flakes, sautéing for about a minute until fragrant.

  3. Add the Sauce Ingredients:Stir in soy sauce, orange juice, vinegar, honey, and brown sugar. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.

  4. Thicken the Sauce:Slowly add the cornstarch-water mixture to the pan, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens to a smooth glaze.

  5. Combine & Serve:Add the cooked shrimp balls to the sauce, tossing gently to coat. Serve hot over steamed rice.

  6. Optional Garnish:Sprinkle with sliced green onions and fresh orange slices for an extra pop of color and flavor.
